On today's "retro rack" is a singer who grew up in the state of New York. But by the time he reached his late teens, he had moved here to Texas, where he started playing the dance hall and worked on his songwriting skills.

 

Hal Ketchum is a great singer/songwriter. In the mid 80's he moved to Nashville. It was long after the move, Ketchum scored a contract with Curb Records.

In 1991 he first release for Curb was the album, "Past The Point Of Rescue". The first single of the album was a song called "Small Town Saturday Night". The song went straight to Number Two on the charts.
