When Lauren Alaina was competing on American Idol, she looked fashionable but most critical eyes felt she needed to lose a few pounds. And she's done just that! With the help of one thing she tells US , "Changing my diet was the big thing." It's not only what she eats, but also how much. A typical breakfast for her is an egg-white omelet, for lunch it's shrimp and veggies and dinner, chicken and asparagus. And of course she's added exercise to the program...crunches, push-ups as well squats. Since being on the weight loss program, Lauren has dropped 25 pounds! And she says she'd still like to lose about ten more.

 

As far as her singing career, she was the runner-up to Scotty McCreery but she continues climbing. Here's Lauren's terrific first single.
