Because one in eight women will get breast cancer, I decided this was a necessary blog. A special seminar for breast cancer survivors is planned for this weekend at Covenant. Discussion will focus on the emotional and personal journey a cancer survivor goes through and how to navigate their life through the numerous changes. A speaker will lead the seminar in discussion of the six stages survivors go through once diagnosed: loss, doubt, discomfort, discovery, understanding and integration. If you are a woman who's part of that 12.6% or a survivor's family member or friend, you are welcomed to the free seminar, but you must R.S.V.P to 806-725-8028 by Thursday, Jan. 19. It'll take place in the Arnett Room at Covenant Women's and Children's Hospital, 4000 24th.
