Even stars have to deal with the legal stuff themselves. Garth Brooks is in a courtroom in Claremore, Oklahoma this week as the trial in his lawsuit started. Jury selected was done Wednesday in the case which he's sued to have money returned. Brooks claims he gave $500,000 to a hospital in Yukon, Oklahoma so some part of the facility would be named after his mother who passed away in 1999. Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital never followed through. When the jury was asked if they'd heard of Garth Brooks, eight of the 18 selected say they're fans and several have been to one or more of his concerts. Those people just might be a tad biased, don't ya' think?

The trial continued in the third day Thursday and this site says the hospital heads claim an original agreement was never reached and the money is still in the account, unspent. Garth says they're dragging their feet because it's been three years since discussions began.
Sounds like this might be one case that could be resolved easily, but it's  taking a courtroom for that to happen. In the meantime, the singer stays busy with his concerts in Las Vegas as well with concerts booked throughout this year. Here's one of my favorite Garth Brooks songs.
