UPDATE 8:40a, June 5, 2014

Lubbock Police this morning have issued an update in the McWilliams case.

McWilliams had been placed in a taxi after arriving in Lubbock. She then went to the Red Roof Inn, where she was later found by police. She was in a safe and uninjured condition and has been reunited with her family.

Lubbock Police are continuing their search for a missing 74 year-old woman.  Bettye Jane McWilliams, born on February 2, 1942, was last seen on Tuesday night at 10p in Big Spring. She was getting on a Greyhound bus traveling to Lubbock.

The bus arrived in Lubbock two and-a-half hours later without McWilliams.
Bettye McWilliams is described as a white female, 5'5", 125 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes.She was last seen wearing a white blouse with a blue pattern, white pants and a brown jacket with a cat print.
Lubbock Police believe McWilliams may be in danger and possibly lost and confused.
