In Detroit a pharmacist was fired when he used a gun to stop a robbery attempt. A surveillance video caught all the action. Jeremy Hoven was working the overnight shift at a Walgreens in Benton Harbor, Michigan when two armed men burst in. One robber held a gun to another worker's back and the second robber jumped over the counter attempting to shoot Hoven. The robber's gun misfires three times!

Then the pharmacist took action. Hoven, who had purchased a gun after a previous robbery, fired it three times, not hitting anyone but scaring them away. Hoven was fired after the incident and admits he didn't tell his bosses about the gun. In a statement from Walgreens, "Store employees receive comprehensive training on how to react and respond to a potential robbery. Law enforcement strongly advises against confrontation of crime suspects."But considering the circumstances, I'm betting Hoven was glad he had the gun.
