Friday’s Lunch Is Beans and Cornbread for Hospice of Lubbock

The annual Mayors' Beans and Cornbread Luncheon is coming up Friday at lunch from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Mayors from around the South Plains welcome the public to the 24th fundraiser-luncheon for Hospice of Lubbock which serves a 19 county region. And as usual, beans and cornbread(cooked by River Smiths) are on the menu with dessert and drink also included for the price of the $10 ticket. For an extra $2 you can add Klemke's sausages to your plate. And as you dine you can enjoy the performances of the Stars of the Cactus Theater.

It's an event that raises money for the region's only non-profit hospice, Hospice of Lubbock. So, other activities will be happening as you eat. There's the "Tip Your Waiter" contest as community leaders wait tables to raise tips to donate to Hospice.
Tickets available at the door. Make a date for the Civic Center and have lots of fun for a wonderful cause.
