It’s Texas State First For The Lady Raiders

The 19th ranked Texas Tech Lady Raiders are back on the basketball court tonight against Texas State. The Lady Raiders better be focused on the Bobcats.

The reason for that is Tech will host #16 Penn State this Saturday and it's very easy to look ahead to a big game like that instead of taking of business at hand.

Lady Raiders fans may remember two years ago on Dec. 2nd, the Bobcats came back from 17 down and fell short of upsetting the Tech by a score of 75-71.

This Lady Raider team has a strong bench and all of them are contributing, from Shauntal Nobles, Jordan Barncastle to Chynna Brown.

In fact Brown is coming of the bench and averaging 11 points a game so far.

One of the nice surprises this year is forward Kelsi Baker. She showed great promise last year as a freshman and this year as a sophmore, she has worked her way into the starting line-up. So far this season she is averaging 10.4 points a game and pulling down 6 rebounds a game.

This is an exciting team to watch so make plans to be at the United Spirit Arena tonight.

A Lady Raider win tonight makes the meeting with Penn State much more special.
