Let’s Pop A Top On A Thirsty Thursday [VIDEO]

Keystone Hulton Archive

Time for another one of the great drinkin’ songs in country music. The song, “Pop A Top”, was a hit twice.

The song was first recorded by Jim Ed Brown in 1965 and went to number three on the charts. Then, 34 years later in 1999, Alan Jackson made in a top ten hit all over again.

Appropriately the song was on Jackson’s album titled “Under The Influence”. It was a tribute album to all Jackson’s favorite country singers of the past.

So lets “pop a top” and enjoy both Jim Ed Brown and Alan Jackson.
