For over thirty years the Lubbock Arts Festival has entertained hundreds of thousands of adults and children and this year is no different. It opens officially Thursday with Premiere night from 6-9 p.m. It's a special ticketed event featuring Spotlight Artist Angela Adams and Featured Musician Terri Sue Caldwell.

The general public and tons of school children(it's School Day and two thousand kids expected!) will delight in the festivities of visual art and performances on Friday. And, on Friday it's free admission if you download the free pass at Lubbockarts.org. It'll cost you $3 other days, Saturday and Sunday.

In addition to the musicians, singers, dancers, and visual art, you see huge piece of artwork made entirely from Jelly Beans! How sweet is that!?

Other special ticketed events are "Titanic--the Musical" presented in dinner theatre format by Lubbock Community Theatre on Friday night. "Cinderella" is being performed by Ballet Lubbock on Friday night at 7 and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Check with Selectaseat for tickets to any of those events.

There's even a comic book expo, and family film day and of course the juried gallery featuring over 150 visual artists from all over the world. There are absolutely too many art/music/cultural opportunities to mention, you just need to go and have fun. There will be something for everyone.
