Luke Adams Makes The Most Out Of First Career Start

It was like a movie. A walk-on, who stands just 5'9", wears hearing aids, get to start a basketball game and lights up the arena.

That was the story Sunday night when Luke Adams got to start his first game for the Red Raiders against Grambling State. Adams took advantage.

He drained the first bucket of the game, a three pointer, just before the shot clock buzzer went. Then Adams came down the court and made another three from the same spot. By this time the crowd was into it.

He wasn't through though, he hit two more. In face Tech had five three pointers in the first five minutes of the game, and four of them came from Luke Adams.

Adams finished with 15 points all of them from three point land.

That wasn't all. Adams really hustled. He was not afraid to get on the floor going for a loose ball, broke up some passes and even drove the lane against the big guys.

We all cheer for the underdog, and watching Adams play was a treat. He was making the most of his opportunity.

The Red Raiders beat Grambling 87-59 and have opened the season at 4-0 at home for the 10th straight season.
