It's not easy starting out as a band, hell it's not easy making a living even after you've been at it a long time. And I can only think of three things, off hand, you can do that are more disrespectful to another human being than steal their property. How hard is "it doesn't belong to you, don't take it" to understand?

If you haven’t heard already, Mike and the Moonpies had their entire van, trailer, and all of their equipment, cash, cameras and personal items stolen over the weekend in Dallas after a show at The Rustic.

The good news is that the band’s fans have already chipped in several thousand dollars to help them get back on their feet.

From the Moonpies:

Our van, cargo trailer and all of our gear were stolen in Dallas on the morning of May 11, 2014, sometime between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. All totaled, more than $20,000 in lost property. We're currently accepting donations to help recover some of this tremendous loss so we can keep working and moving forward. Anyone who donates $10 or more will be sent a complimentary download of our album via email. Thanks in advance. We're working our hardest to recover and make our upcoming tour dates.

Any news or information regarding the van, gear or trailer please contact chase@mikeandthemoonpies.com or call the Dallas Police Department.
