CBS’ afternoon talk show ‘The Talk’ is getting a bit of a country makeover — but only for one week. In honor of the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards, the show, which stars hosts Sharon Osbourne, Julie Chen, Leah Remini and Sheryl Underwood, is going country. The hosts will invite a cast of celebrity country acts to come perform, co-host and, well, talk with them during the week leading up to the 47th Annual ACM Awards.

The show’s country angle is set to begin Thursday, March 29, with Miranda Lambert kicking things off as a guest co-host. The ‘Over You’ hitmaker will get to sit at the table with the ladies and get her chat on, which we know will be an extra special treat. Plus, that Thursday episode will also feature ACM nominee Chris Young, who will be on ‘The Talk’ stage performing his recent No. 1 hit, ‘You.’

Friday, ‘The Talk’ will bring 2012 ACM Awards host Reba McEntire to the couch to preview the awards and talk more about the weekend festivities, which will culminate with the April 1 live telecast of the red carpet event. McEntire will play host at the annual trophy show alongside funny man Blake Shelton, as well as an entire cast of country stars who will be making appearances to perform their hits and wring their hands to see who takes home the coveted awards.

Lambert is up for two awards at the 2012 ACM Awards, one for Female Vocalist of the Year and the other for Album of the Year with ‘Four the Record.’ Young is up for the prestigious Male Vocalist of the Year award, as well as receiving a nod for Single Record of the Year with ‘Tomorrow.’ To catch the countrified episodes of ‘The Talk,’ tune in to the show on CBS March 29 and 30 at 2PM ET.
