New Look Red Raiders Hit The Court Tonight

The Texas Tech Red Raider basketball team gets to play someone else besides themselves tonight. They host Southwestern Oklahoma in the United Spirit Arena.

It's also the first game for new head basketball coach Billy Gillispie. Coach Gillispie has ten new faces on the team including three returners from last years team in Javarez Willis, Robert Lewandowski and Jaye Crockett.

Here's the good news. You don't need a ticket, it's free admission. Also, there is free parking across the street from the USA in the west parking lot.

It would be great to see a big crowd there tonight. There should be. I look at it this way. Fans were pushing for coach Gillispie when Pat Knight was let go as coach. Well, Tech officials listened and hired him.

Now it's up to the fans to do their part and get to the game.

It's always exciting when you have something new. I for one am excited to see this team and watch them play.
