It's Monday, the first day of the week and it's time to check out the first hit song of a major country act. This duo was the biggest selling twosome in country music history. In fact they out sold any other duo, including Simon and Garfunkel. They are Brooks and Dunn.

Tim Dubois with Arista Records was responsible for getting Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn together.

In 1991 they released their debut album "Brand New Man". It was a smash right out of the box. The title cut, and the following singles, "My Next Broken Heart", Neon Moon",and "Boot Scootin Boogie" all went straight to Number One.

"Brand New Man" went on to sell over five million copies and Brooks and Dunn became superstars.

The duo called it quit last year, but Ronnie Dunn has had success with two it songs as a solo artists, "Bleed Red" and "Cost of Livin'".
