Hailing from Taft, Texas, Stoney LaRue has been a part of the Red Dirt scene for years, even back when Red Dirt was the "Oklahoma" version of Texas Country. Having been raised in Southeastern Oklahoma, Stoney moved to Stillwater where he was able to craft his music with such Red Dirt greats as Jason Boland and Cody Canada.

In 2002 Stoney led the Organic Boogie Band and released the CD "Downtown" recorded in Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa. The 2005 follow-up "The Red-Dirt Album" made its mark in Billboard Magazine the first week it was released. The following year Stoney released his first his first live recording that was done at Billy Bob's Texas.
Stoney comes to us now with a brand new song called "Velvet."
