If you are a Red Raider basketball fan, you knew it would happen. Well, it happened. Tech finally snapped an eleven game losing streak and beat the Oklahoma Sooners 65-47 this past Saturday night in the United Spirit Arena.
It was known as the "pink zone game". But now it is the "Play 4Kay " game. This a designated game where coaches help bring awareness to breast cancer in honor of the longtime head coach of the North Carolina State women's basketball team Kay Yow.
Dan Law field, the home of the Texas Tech Baseball team, was far behind other ballparks in the Big 12. All that will change come Friday, February 17th when fans come out to Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
The last time these two teams met, it was on Oklahoma State's home court. With just over a minute left in the game, Texas Tech only trailed by three points. But the Cowboys' Keiton Page had other ideas.
