Texas Tech Baseball Host The Brooks Wallace Memorial Classic

It's baseball time again this weekend at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park as the Texas Tech Red Raiders host Northern Illinois and St. John's in the third annual Brooks Wallace Memorial Classic.

The classic is in honor of Brooks Wallace who was a standout player at shortstop for Tech from 1977-80. Not only was he a player but a coach as well. He died at the age of 27 from leukemia.

The Red Raiders will play Northern Illinois three times during the classic and St. John's, who comes in ranked #18 in the country, twice.

Play starts today. The Red Raider will play St.John's at 5pm today. The classic runs through Monday.
