George Jones and Melba Montgomery were one of the most popular duets in the 1960's. For George, this was pre-Tammy Wynette days.

The first hit that Jones and Montgomery recorded was a song that Montgomery had written. The song was called, "We Must Be Out Of Our Minds". It reached the Top Three in 1963.

In fact they recorded a total of five Top 40 hits and two albums between 1963 and 1967.
