Country singer William Clark Green called in to talk with Lonestar 99.5 about this year's Cotton Fest and some of his favorite Lubbock things.

With Cotton Fest right around the corner on May 2nd-4th at Cook's Garage, it was great to catch up with Green on the phone.

We talked Cotton Fest, his music, Lubbock, and his big fundraiser the High Cotton Relief Fund. He couldn't be more passionate about helping the Lubbock community. He explained how the idea for the High Cotton Relief Fund came about in his candid and refreshing style.

Green also shared how much he's looking forward to coming to Lubbock and told us about his two favorite stops when he's here in town. You'll never guess where you'll find him eating Thai food or sipping a couple cervezas while kicking back with some great live Lubbock music.

He told us he looks forward to growing Cotton Fest into an even longer, possibly 5-day, music festival

You can follow this link for more details about this year's big weekend long Cotton Fest event, with a tremendous line-up of Texas Country, a barbecue cook-off, a washer tourney and more. It's all to raise money for the High Cotton Relief Fund.

We look forward to seeing y'all at Cotton Fest 2019.
